First Thing's First:
Trim the wick! The ideal height is about 1/4 inch above the wax. Trimming your wick will help your candle burn efficiently and avoid tunneling, which can lead to excess soot on your vessel and in your home.
When you light your candle for the first time, please allow it to burn until the entire surface of wax has melted — this will prevent tunneling and creating memory rings. It's always best to let your candle burn for an hour at a time minimum.
How Long to Burn:
Keep your burn to up to one to four hours at a time, maximum. Once your candle has only about ½ inch of wax left in the vessel, it’s time to say your goodbyes, clean out the wax, recycle the vessel, and order your next Cadence Candle.
Keep It Clean:
If you notice soot when burning your candle, be sure to keep your wick trimmed and clean off any soot on the vessel. Soot build up occurs when the wick is not properly trimmed, creating excess wick burn and flame size. Remember to keep your candle free of any debris or dirt.
